Co-production is so important

Ensuring a paper is formatted, worded and illustrated so it can be understood by those it is written about is a very important part of co-production.

Chair Leanne and member Michael joined Helen from Active Prospects to draft the first version of an easy read paper for Anna Cox at University of Surrey to extend the reach of those who can access the findings.

It is an innovative approach to bring alternative methods of communication into this academic arena, this is a first step in a new and refreshing direction in inclusion.

Members are also going to explore other options to bring the paper to others who may be visually impaired or require alternative text, taking the findings as far as possible.

If you want to bring research to life and approach the dissemination of findings to other audiences with alternative methods, it may be time to expand your knowledge of what is available.

🧡Specialist organisations such as Active Prospects UK Photosymbols and Include.org as well as AI software, make this a reality so give it a go, you have nothing to lose and a potential new audience to gain.
