New venue, new Quality Checkers joining and new faces!

💜Quality Checker training refresher time, and what a pleasure to welcome Angella Chimenya and Dan D'Amario from Active Prospects UK to meet members of Pro-Active Community at the monthly meeting.

👏🏼Thank you to Shauna Jones and Diego Acosta for kindly offering their fantastic venue Longmead Community Hub, even though Surrey Choices were hosting their annual BBQ.

🎉A great atmosphere welcomed us all which carried on into the meeting where members not only completed the training but also

✨celebrated winning the Social Care Institute for Excellence (SCIE) Social Care Impact Award
✨reviewed the feedback from the Managing my Health event last month, ✨discussed the new book title members are working on with Beyond Words
✨voted ✅ on how to mark the 5th anniversary in October

👏🏼Candice Waterman, General Manager starts later this month, so members wanted to know what that means to them and were pleased to hear how much this role will benefit Pro Active Community as a growing charity.

🎉Exciting times ahead with more learning disability focused research opportunities, and the development of the Quality Checker services members offer, with 2 new checkers joining the register following Thursday’s training.
