Heated discussions
✨Today’s Learning Disability Partnership Board, chaired by Debbie Taylor and Anna Waterman, facilitated by Amanda Aldridge was a truly interactive session.
🤝These meetings are crucial for carers, family members, support providers and professionals across the County to share updates, review consultations, discuss concerns and to raise points of interest or frustration.
💜Valuable input from the Pro-Active Community Chair Michael, Co-Chair Matt Leadbeater and member Leanne, along with several other learning disability experts with lived experience.
✅Holding Surrey CC teams to account and pointing out areas really difficult to follow, understand or put into life context, need to be considered at every step, these meetings provide exactly that chance.
Great to hear updates from ✨Healthwatch Surrey
✨Adults Well-being & Health Partnerships QA Team
✨SCC Financial Assessments team
✨and the Managing my health event hosted last month.
💡Heated discussions around financial assessments, lack of transparency and questionable fairness of the consultation proposals.
🗣️If you want to have your say there are local meetings one of which is in Horley library on Tuesday 22nd July at 10:00-12:00pm.
Look out for updates as there might be a further meeting in Epsom library.
