Winners!!! Michael collects the First Prize at the SCIE Social Care Impact Award
🎉Thank you to Kathryn Marsden OBE (Formerly Kathryn Smith OBE) and her wonderful team at Social Care Institute for Excellence (SCIE) for todays celebration as part of Co-production Week 2025.
🏆So very proud to join Michael Farrington, Chair of Pro-Active Community and his support staff Tina Emmerson in receiving todays’s First Prize in the 2025 SCIE Social Care Impact Award for all the projects involving co-production over the past year.
📚The 17 days of innovative consultancy or expert training services will benefit everyone within the membership, Trustees and the charity as a whole.
👂Great to hear from people on their co-pro journeys, at various stages of understanding or implemention, and from organisations raising awareness of what is genuine and when it’s purely tokenistic.
👏🏼This recognition of the valuable projects Pro Active Community members have driven or been a part of is hugely appreciated.
“This will help with getting us out there more, people will hear what we do, want to know more and join us making a difference” (Michael)
✨So good to meet Matthew Ford, PhD Claire Cosgrove (MCIOF) and Sabiya Hussain in person, thank you for all you have done to make today possible and everything SCIE are doing to encourage health and social care to participate in authentic co-production for improved practices, policies and service provision across both.
🎉Thanks must also go to Alice Murray and Joel Hartfield at Active Prospects UK who have provided so much guidance and involvement in submitting our application for this award.
🎉Woohoo! Very proud of all involved in making a memorable past year.
