Time to vote

The Pro-Active Community met to vote on some critical issues important to all the members and their peers:-

❓What do cancer diagnosis, care and outcomes look like for anyone with a learning disability, exploring the ethics of an upcoming research project?

and

❓What does The Good Lives Manifesto look like for them, in preparation for the Learning Disability England conference in London next month.

🗳️Another key area for all the members is understanding more about the upcoming general election - plans to organise a workshop with guests to share their vision from across all parties and local councils, which will help everybody to learn a bit more about each political party and bring them to task on what they plan for acessibility and inclusion for adults with learning disability.

✊Knowledge is power.

By completing online surveys as a group everyone has an opportunity to ask what wording means, what implications are for chosen responses and most importantly an opportunity for all members to take back what they have learned to share with peers and friends.

🎉The members of Pro-Active Community all know change only happens if it is called for and everyone has a chance to be included in the decisions being made.

👏🏼Thank you to Marketing Manager Sophia Rapley for facilitating the meeting so Chair and Co Chair Leanne and Michael were able to ensure everyone had a chance to vote.
