Working Better Together

Leanne and Michael attended the ‘Working Better Together’ conference organised by Tracey Agnew from Surrey Community Development Team Lead, at Reigate Manor in Surrey on January 24th.

By supporting local Surrey residents to create healthy communities everyone came together ‘drawing on the knowledge of national and regional leaders and active citizens’

Keynote speaker Adam Lent shared some startling NHS statistics but some real positives about collaboration with local communities, partnership working and co-production in its truest sense.

What a superb guest panel - a day of workshops focusing on mental health and well-being, intergenerational change, how does working together make us stronger and working with minoritised ethnic groups.

Networking with county colleagues across NHS, social care and other providers of support is always a very positive and necessary outcome of events such as this, a good opportunity for Pro Active Community members to partner with local community representatives to hear what they have to say and help shape what is proposed.

What a wonderful life story a local lady from the Redhill area, Mahjubeen shared about her passion for sharing community spirit, kindness and food, a truly thought provoking and very impactful local residents voice. The power of community.
